Origin of Wifi
WiFi was invented and first released for consumers in 1997, when a committee called 802.11 was created. This lead to the creation of IEEE802.11, which refers to a set of standards that define communication for wireless local area networks (WLANs).

Why was Wifi Created ?
WiFi is a technology that uses radio waves to provide network connectivity. A WiFi connection is established using a wireless adapter to create hotspots - areas in the vicinity of a wireless router that are connected to the network and allow users to access internet services.

How Wifi Works ?
Like mobile phones, a WiFi network makes use of radio waves to transmit information across a network. The computer should include a wireless adapter that will translate data sent into a radio signal. This same signal will be transmitted, via an antenna, to a decoder known as the router.

How to make Wifi Secure ?
1. Use a secure WPA password
2. Provide a separate network for guests
3. Hide your network name
4. Use a firewall
5. Enable MAC authentication for your users
6. Reduce the Range of the Wireless Signal
